Key Privacy Principle: Your personal activity data remains exclusively on your device or in your private iCloud account. We do not collect, store, or have access to this data.

The words with initial capital letters have meanings defined under the following conditions. These definitions have the same meaning whether they appear in singular or plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • "Application" or "App" means Kapitan, the software program provided by the Company for iOS devices
  • "Company" (referred to as "the Company", "we", "us" or "our") refers to Okoole Tech Corp, 200-2020 Winston Park Drive, Oakville, Ontario, Canada, L6H 6X7.
  • "Country" refers to Canada
  • "Device" means any device that can access the Application such as an iPhone, iPad, or other iOS device
  • "Personal Data" is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual
  • "Service" refers to the Application
  • "Service Provider" means any third-party company or individual employed by the Company to facilitate the Service
  • "Usage Data" refers to data collected automatically through use of the Service
  • "You" means the individual accessing or using the Application

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from this Privacy Policy will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada. This policy complies with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

We Do Not Collect Your Personal Activity Data

Kapitan is designed with privacy as the core principle. All your personal activity data is stored locally on your Device or in your private iCloud account. We do not collect, store, or have access to:

  • Activity tracking data
  • Analytics data (Integrity score, time distribution, correlations, performance categories, life factors)
  • Personal insights and reflections
  • Mood and wellness data
  • Performance metrics and ratings
  • Long-term intentions and milestones
  • Any content you create within the Application
No Account Registration Required

The Application does not require you to create accounts, provide usernames, passwords, or any authentication credentials.

Technical Data We Process Through Service Providers

We process minimal technical information solely through third-party Service Providers for essential Application functionality:

Subscription Management (RevenueCat Inc.):
  • Anonymous user identifiers (cannot be linked to your personal identity)
  • Subscription status and purchase validation data
  • No access to your personal activity data or user-generated content
Payment Processing (Apple Inc.):
  • Purchase transaction data (processed entirely by Apple App Store)
  • Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy

Local Data Storage

Your Personal Data is stored exclusively in the following locations:

  • Device Storage: All Application data stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework with device encryption
  • iCloud Sync (Optional): If enabled, your data is stored in your private iCloud account with Apple's end-to-end encryption (we cannot access this data)
  • Local Libraries: Swift Markdown UI renders content locally with no data transmission

Your Privacy Rights

Complete Control Over Your Data

You have the following rights regarding your Personal Data:

  • Access: View all your personal data directly within the Application
  • Rectification: Edit and correct your data anytime using Application features
  • Deletion: Delete your data by uninstalling the Application or clearing data manually
  • Portability: Export your data using built-in Application features
  • Objection: Disable iCloud sync or delete the Application to stop all data processing

Rights Under Specific Regulations

GDPR Rights (European Users)

For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland:

  • Right to withdraw consent for iCloud sync (disable in iOS Settings)
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
  • Right to restrict processing (contact RevenueCat for subscription data)

CCPA Rights (California Residents)

California residents have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: Categories of personal information processed (detailed in this policy)
